The Moore/Miller administration released their fy 2026 budget on january 15th 2025. This budget comes at a time when maryland is facing a structural deficit of several billion dollars and at a time when the trump administration has set on a path that will forever change marylands economy. Moore touted his progressive tax policy, his concern for working class marylanders , his tough choices, and vision for economic growth.

Under the surface, this budegt is too little and too late. It doesn’t solve the deficit probmlem, it cuts taxes for corporations, the middle class tax breaks it promises are gobbled up by budget tricks, it makes massive cuts to important programs, and the future it depends on is a fanatsy.
