Latest report shows Green Party ticket raised over $6,000 from a base of small donors, with two-thirds of contributions coming from Marylanders

The Ellis/Andrews campaign, seeking the Green Party nomination for Governor and Lt. Governor, filed its latest campaign finance report with the Maryland State Board of Elections this week. Every dollar reflected in this report was raised through Maryland's public financing program, which the campaign joined in October after winding down its traditional campaign account. Under the program's rules, contributions are limited to individuals only. No corporations, no PACs, no LLCs. Each donor is capped at $250.

The most recent four-month reporting period shows the campaign raised $6,017.76 from 173 donations made by 117 individual donors. Since entering the public financing program in October, the campaign has raised $13,100.52 across 314 donations from 214 individual donors.

Before joining the program, the campaign's earlier traditional account raised an additional $22,359 across 600 donations from 175 donors, including 376 donations totaling $13,601 from 92 Maryland donors. That account was wound down ahead of the public financing conversion. Combined across both accounts, the campaign has raised more than $35,000 from over 900 donations since launch.

"This report tells you exactly what kind of campaign we are running," said Andy Ellis, Green Party candidate for Governor. "This campaign is funded by working people, and it answers to working people. Every dollar in this report came from an individual who chose to put their own money behind a different vision for Maryland."

120 of the 173 donations in this period, roughly two-thirds, came from Marylanders. Across the full public-financing window since October, the Maryland share is even higher, with 241 of 314 donations (more than three-quarters) and 168 of 214 donors coming from inside the state.

The average gift during this reporting period was about  $35. The average across the full public-financing window is about $40. Both numbers sit well below the program's $250 individual cap..

The campaign's full report is available through the Maryland State Board of Elections campaign finance database. Marylanders who want to support the campaign can contribute at gogreen2026.com.
